Qualifications to Host

Basic qualifications include:

• Attend an Angels from Abroad informational meeting. Click here to sign up.
• Be a Christian family and an active member of your local church
• Couples and single women are eligible
• Must be at least 25 years old or older to be able to host
• Must live in the North Texas area. You may also choose to set up a temporary residency in the Dallas area for part of the the two-week visit in order to participate
• One parent will need to be with the child throughout the two-week visit.
• Each adult residing in the home will need to have a criminal and child abuse background clearance completed by the agency
• After a prospective family’s application is received and screened, a family interview will determine if the family would be a good candidate to host a child
• Participation in the hosting education program to prepare for the hosting program and the needs of children in orphanages
• Have an available bed and sleeping space for the child
• Openness to working with agency staff throughout the process
• Have the financial stability to be able to take care of the needs of the child
